And tomorrow will be our last Saturday... and Sunday, the last one here too. You get the point, I'm sure.

We fly out on Sunday to the UK and from there we take another flight to Canada. The trip itself doesn't sound to difficult in print, but in reality, I'm preparing for the worst because when there are children involved, even the best laid plans can all go Pete Tong (that's modern cockney for wrong).

I've got an idea to sort of help with the journey. I'll make up a little bag of stuff to do on the flight. Crayons, books, cards... etc., and that should help. Fingers crossed it does anyway. On one flight, it will be a good 8 hour journey and I'm hoping that they sleep on that one. If they don't sleep, then they'll be very grumpy boys as we wait for the next flight out.

Well, I could sit here and worry about all of this, type it out, read it back and worry some more or... I could go and get things finished off and ready to go which will alleviate some of the stress. I guess I should go with the latter idea. Makes more sense. lol.

Bye all, will return when I can and will eventually post up those photos.

xx

Life in Portugal

My apologies to you all (my 2-3 readers!!!). I've been living it up here in Portugal and I haven't really wanted to spend too much time on my computer.

It has been fantastic here. The weather is gorgeous. For the most part it has been anyway. We've had a few insane storms here with winds that would blow down a 200lb man. That's the winter weather only. The summer weather is heaven.

This summer, I'm afraid I won't be here but I will be in Ontario. I'm looking forward to it immensely. Even if I'll be missing out on the sun, sand and sea over here. I will finally be able to focus on a career for myself after having followed my husband from pillar to post, supporting him in his career.

I imagine it will be a tough journey for my sons and myself but I know if we can make it through the first few months, it will all be worth it.

I have a few pictures that I will post up later on here. They're of life here in Portugal. I won't do that now because we're going out today to spend Easter Monday in the sun.

Back soon... xx

My Robot

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_xLg47qvtywU/SWfHiNmV0SI/AAAAAAAAAE8/KG0IejqwMoQ/s400/myrobot.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5289415677949890850" />
Well, here we have yet another creation made in 3DS Max. Seriously, getting that thing to work is a nightmare I couldn't bare to face but I eventually plucked up the courage and now, it's here, my storyboard... for all of you to view. The scene opens with Tom kicking a jack-o-lantern off a porch and then running to catch up to his friend who continued to walk without him. In front of them, you can see a kid wearing a ghost costume.

Tom, catching up to his friend, says “Man, I hate Halloween.”

Michael replies gruffly “You hate everything.”

Soon they catch up to the fake ghost and Tom quickly yanks the sheet off of its wearer and throws it in a nearby bush.

A little boy is revealed who starts to cry hysterically and asks Tom “Hey...what did you do that for?”

Tom turns casually and shrugs in response to the boy’s question and nonchalantly turns himself back around.

Still walking, they come close to a spooky looking house with spiked wrought iron fencing reaching high up into the sky and a Jack-o-lantern sitting on the front of the rickety old house. The roof looks like it is one rainstorm away from falling down completely and the rest of the three story house doesn’t look too stable either.

Michael points to the carved out pumpkin and goads Tom “I bet you wouldn’t ever kick that pumpkin.”

Tom takes Michael’s comment as a challenge and responds “Yeah, what’s that all about? Nobody ever trick or treats there so why do they even need a pumpkin?” As he walks toward the front gate, he says “I bet you I will kick it!”

With his hand on the gate, Tom slowly pushes it open, trying his hardest to keep it from creaking too much. When he gets in, he leaves the gate open and carefully tiptoes along the path up to the front porch where his target lies.

While Tom is moving towards his pumpkin prey, Michael hides himself in some nearby bushes to watch the events as they unfold. He bites his nails with worry, wondering if he made a mistake making that comment and hoping that his fear for his friend is unfounded.

As Tom reaches his mark, he winds up and kicks the orange fleshy carved fruit and it flies off the porch, down the steps, and splats on the walkway, leaving a big mess of pumpkin guts all over. Tom glances toward the house to see if someone was watching. At that very moment, the front door creaks open and a wrinkly old lady steps out wearing a long pointy hat and a dark black robe.

“Are you here for the Dinner Party?” She says in a deep, hoarse voice.

Tom stutters “Em..er...n..n..n..no.”

The witch looks at the boy, her head tilted to one side “Hmmm, no? Well, we could always use more Frogs Legs!” and before Tom could even reply, the Witch pulls out her wand from under her robe and flicks her wrist, pointing at the boy.

A second later, in front of the old hag, a frog croaks up at her. She then bends down to pick up Tom in his new form and cackles as she calls to her guests inside “Yum, Yum. It’s time for supper, girls!”

Michael stares in disbelief as the Witch carries his friend off to a most unfortunate fate. His heart pounding with fear, he finally gets up enough courage to move and runs off, trying hard not to scream and wondering who he can tell that will believe him.

Nobody ever saw Tom again and his poor friend Michael ended up in the loony bin for spending far too much time talking to frogs.

~ The End ~

NOTES ABOUT THE ANIMATION:
This animation will be geared towards children 9 years old and up since the mood is a bit on the dark side with some suspenseful moments and with an ending that is somewhat disturbing but left to the imagination.
Michael is an average looking boy of 11 with brown hair, fair skin and freckles and his friend Tom has blonde hair and is a little on the chubby side. He’s a bit taller than his friend but he’s the same age. Tom is a bit of a bully and Michael is a bit of an instigator. This pairing ends up with tragic results.
The Witch has the typical long, crooked nose with warts and green tinged skin. She also has a bit of a hunched back. She doesn’t care much for children that are mischievous but her main purpose in the story is to find more food. The boy turning up at her doorstep just at that moment is seen, in her eyes, as a bit of good luck.
The surroundings are of a typical American neighbourhood with each house decorated especially for Halloween night. The weather is typical of Autumn with a bit of a breeze blowing and withered brown leaves swirling on the ground, some trees still holding on to the last vestiges of summer .
In my opinion, this animation would appeal to those that enjoy celebrating Halloween and love watching horror movies and Halloween cartoon specials.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://andreaoverthepond.blogspot.com/2008/09/story-behind-my-first-2-minute.html' title='The Story Behind My First 2 Minute Animation -due to follow one day soon.. One of those things is watching films which I can't seem to get enough of. I've watched most of these films off a great new application from Graboid. You know the type where when you first see it, your first thoughts are 'What the hell?' and then comes the perusal and following that is the giggling. During the perusal stage, I came across some very weird items that I felt I wanted to share. Since my husband is at work and my 3 year old doesn't appreciate my sense of humour just yet, I thought I'd put a link on here and maybe post a couple of pics so I can share with everyone (okay, everyone that reads this is probably 1 or 2 people at most but it sounds better to say everyone) the absolute absurdity of some of the items on the site.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_xLg47qvtywU/R_Dvak61cbI/AAAAAAAAADs/52e-SfAasLo/s320/buttstation-2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5183906410969526706" />

That's the Butt Station Desktop Set. A must have for any office professional with a need for paperclips, sticky notes, pens and tape to be close at hand. I love it...and I may get one if I can find a supplier in the UK.

That wasn't the only item I found interesting. The next item pictured below, that was another reason to think 'what the hell?'.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_xLg47qvtywU/R_DzzE61ccI/AAAAAAAAAD0/fuS2QmoC1Jo/s320/security-all.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5183911229922832834" />

Those there are for keeping your valuables safe. I think we can all see what the deterrant is there. I'm sure I don't need to explain the idea behind...hehehe...these pants. It's all about hiding your ASSETS...lol. It's not something I'd use and I think it's more humourous than useful.

If anyone wants to have a look at more crazy things, click this link here and you can have a look for yourself. The name of the site suits it to a tee. Happy hunting.

Probably one of the ugliest creatures I have ever seen, the Star-nosed Mole is actually Canadian. I was in awe and disgusted at the same time. I've never seen anything quite like it. Guess you could say he was truly the "Star"-nosed of the show! Grrrrroooooaaaan.....HAHAHAHAHA....Cheesy? I repeat, IT IS NOT REAL! It's actually part of a halloween costume that my eldest wore last year and for some reason, he's decided to keep it out and use it as a toy.

I came across this video on my phone when I was trying to find the other one this morning. It brought back memories. My son was only a year and a half old in this video and it was the very first time he ever said a bad word. Notice I don't include there that it was the only time...because it wasn't. He's said many since then and none of them were my fault. Okay, maybe a couple were but I will only take 0.05% of the blame.

Life changes....

So, I've given my notice at work that I will be leaving in February. It was a sad day and there was a lot of hesitation on my part. I eventually built up enough courage after telling myself repeatedly that I am not the only person in the world that has had to leave a job that they love because of home and family commitments and I needed to suck it up and get on with it. Well, I did. I felt better for it too but it still doesn't change the fact that I love it here and I could've stayed here for a long, long time. Perhaps until retirement age??? Well, maybe not that long since it seems hardly anyone stays at the same job that long nowadays.

We have a house already. It really wasn't that hard to find one. My husband made it seem like it would be an impossible task to find something so soon but he worries too much before he even has anything to worry about. Yes, I do this too but on a smaller scale. Mostly because he is capable of making me worry about these things when I normally wouldn't have given it a second thought until I had to. Anxiety is infectious.

The house is small but it's cosy. Yeah, yeah, I know, cosy is another word for "small" but it really does have that cosy feeling to it. It is comfortable and cosy. Like a duvet wrapped around you in the dead of winter with a mug of hot chocolate and a toasty little fire in the fireplace to give you warmth.

Oh, it has a fireplace. It's not real but at least I can pretend. Picture it, sitting in front of the fireplace...the electric fireplace...drinking a hot chocolate with my duvet wrapped around me...Right, it's not quite the same but if I just squint my eyes and make it blurry, I could really believe it to be true.

I will have to try that when I get there. For now, I'm still here and I still have a lot to do before I go. There's packing, cleaning, making calls and many more tasks to be done. I'll try to keep this up to date but since I haven't been on for awhile anyway, I imagine with an even busier schedule to come, I'm still not likely to get a chance. Fingers crossed folks. I shall do my best.

Later folks.

My left or right brained results

<font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif" style='color:black; Or both?

Work was good today. There was the usual good humour you'd normally find on a Friday which made my usually manic monday go by quite quickly. If only every day could be as much fun.

When I got home from work, both my husband and I got on our laptops and started surfing the net. My husband was checking out the BBC Radio 1 site for something about the MI6 he was listening to on the radio earlier. I was just checking my email when he mentioned something he was doing was 'rock solid'. Being the nosey person I am, I had to find out what he was doing so he told me to check out the site.

Lo and behold, I found some tests. I love tests. I just did a couple of them on the MI6 website to see if I could have a career with them. Any co-workers reading this, I was only doing it for fun. I do not plan to leave where I am now to have an incredibly exciting career in the MI6. I think the whole not telling anbody what I do for a living takes the fun out of it. I would hate not being able to brag about my job.

My scores were alright considering the tests are meant to be quite hard. I can't say I found it all that difficult really though it is timed. Basically, I'd be better as an Operations Officer since my score was perfect. You have a limited time to remember a cover story for a fictional operation and then you are asked 8 questions based on that cover story. I am a little shocked that I did so well on that because my memory is usually crap and yet, I can still remember that my fictional, cover story birthday is December 14th, 1974. Actually, I can remember all of it still. I am very proud of myself. Pat on the back for me.

I did alright with the Administrator test. 76% was my result. There are 5 areas you are tested on. The only sections I didn't do perfect on were the Numeracy and arranging events in logical order. The other areas I got all the answers correct. Again, pat on the back for me.

I think even if I had wanted to join, I wouldn't be able to. I haven't read further into it but I'm pretty sure you have to be a British Citizen for that. It would only make sense. I might be married to one but I'm not yet a full citizen. They might not want a Canadian chick working there in case they turn out to be a spy for the Canadian Secret Service. Which, by the way, is so secret that nobody has ever heard of it. Even me. I can't even say that it's called the Canadian Secret Service. In fact, I'm not even sure we do have a Canadian Secret Service. We must have one though. For what? I'm not too sure. Maybe to spy on the yanks brewery's to find out any special ingredients they have in their beer. Hmmm, no point in that since our beer is better anyway. Don't argue about it either. You know it's true. When they made Molson Canadian, they created perfection in a bottle.

I digress, this isn't about beer. Not to say that beer isn't a good topic, it is, but the more I talk about beer, the more I want a nice cold Molson and I can't have one because they don't sell them at my local Tesco's. Bummer, I know. Anyway, if anyone wants to see if they have what it takes to be in the MI6, why not check out the links below. Even if you don't have any desire whatsoever to join, it's good fun and it passes some time.

For the Administrator test: click HERE

For the Operations Officer test: click HERE

Think that's all I'm going to post for today. I've got a steaming cup of hot chocolate sitting here and I'm going to enjoy it while watching some Christmas movies with my duvet wrapped snuggly around me.

Seasons Greetings all

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://andreaoverthepond.blogspot.com/2007/11/operations-officer-or-administrator-or.html' title='Operations Officer or Administrator? Bad me. I'm not going to try and explain myself or make excuses. I just haven't bothered with updating my blog because I simply couldn't be bothered. Why couldn't I be bothered you ask? I don't know really. I can't be bothered to think why I couldn't be bothered. Does that make sense?

Enough of that nonsense. At the moment, I am at work. I'm having a better day today than I've had in the past week. Not because I'm finally fulfilling a near impossible task that was given to me. No. It's more because I am sitting with some very good humoured people and I've near enough peed my pants in fits of laughter this morning. More and more I think that what makes this such a good job is the people I work for and with. It's not often you find a place to work where you like everyone.

Talking about all this reminds me of home. I used to work at a small Law Firm in Canada. That was the best place I have ever worked. The pay was good and all that, but it wasn't money that made it great. It was the environment. All the partners and the lawyers were down to earth, decent, fun loving people. The Assistants were fantastic and not a day went by where we didn't have a laugh about something. I do miss it. It was and will always be, the best place I've ever worked. Where I am at now, well, it's coming in a close second. I suppose, after time, it could still hit the number 1 spot.

I've decided I should post a little something on here that we were laughing about this morning. It will give you an idea of what kinds of things I find highly amusing and outright hilarious.

Here it is:

Funny isn't it?

Well, that's all folks. I'm going to crack on with getting my work done now. I'll be back soon. I promise. Unless something stops me. Christmas is coming up soon and I still have to get some shopping done. That little chore could sidetrack me but hey, we'll see what happens.

P.S. I will be changing the scenery around here to make it a little more festive now that Halloween is gone and it's not long til the yule tide season. So stay tuned...
<img width='1' height='1' great. I love the people, the land, and the history. It's full of culture and there is always something going on so you never have to suffer boredom unless you choose to.

Although I love it, I still miss Canada from time to time and I take comfort in the small things that remind me of home. I buy the odd food here and there that you can't find over here but I took for granted back home. I read articles every now again on the Internet regarding Canadian affairs. I watch television shows that are showing over here that I used to watch there.

Until recently, I was pretty happy with the occasional reminder of home. Then everything went horribly wrong. I remember it all clearly...

It was a cold and rainy evening. The kids were sleeping and I had to work in the morning. I couldn't go out and I was bored. Felt a little homesick too. The only possible option was to watch my favourite shows on abc1. Most of which, I used to watch back in Canada.

So, I got on my PJ's, climbed into bed with a hot cuppa tea, flicked on the television and searched for abc1...and searched....and searched but lo and behold, to my dismay, the abc1 channel had disappeared entirely. I could not find it anywhere. I searched high and low. I even tried searching for each individual show I could remember being on that channel but found nothing. It was gone!

To say I was upset by this would be a bit of an understatement. I was majorly annoyed by it. There wasn't anything else on that I wanted to watch and I had my heart set on watching back-to-back "Hope and Faith". Now what would I do? Okay, yeah, I could of read a book but I need to be in the mood for that and I just wasn't. I was in the mood for some seriously mindless entertainment.

After I accepted the fact that the channel was truly gone and not coming back, I needed to find out why? Who has taken my beloved abc1 away from me? Who would do such a terrible thing?

DISNEY did it. Those bastards. I did some digging and found out that they (Disney), in their infinite wisdom, had to pull the channel because abc1 couldn't secure a slot. This is what it says on the abc1 website:

"We regretfully announce that Walt Disney Television will no longer be transmitting abc1 on any of the UK TV platforms (Freeview, cable or satellite) after September 2007. Walt Disney Television would like to thank its viewers for watching the channel and interacting with the website. It's been a great few years and we appreciate your viewership."

Hmmm...I'm not impressed but hey? What can I do about it? Start a poll maybe? Do a petition? Is it really that important??? Am I that sad?

The answer really is no, it isn't that important. It is, after all, only seriously mindless entertainment and it's not a necessity. Sure I was terribly annoyed and sure, it was something that comforted me when I was homesick. It still does annoy me when there isn't anything to watch on Sky and it's during a time when one of my shows would've been on. I'll get over it though and with the way Sky is going, I'm sure it won't be long until some other good channels start popping up. Let's just hope it isn't too much of a wait.

.....and another one from Mad TV....

Mad TV. The topic is, if you haven't already guessed, about those emails your friends send you that contain 'Forward this to 10 contacts in the next ten minutes' at the bottom of the email. Which should actually include in the subject line as a warning: 'I am forwarding this to you because I am crazy and think that by not sending this out to you, I will {insert tragic event here} by {insert time here}.'

It has nothing to do with my friends. I love them. They are all awesome people. That goes without saying because if I didn't like them, they wouldn't be my friends. I am fairly certain that most of them just send these along because they are superstitious and fear that the terribly bad thing that is threatened to happen to them if they don't forward it on, will, in fact, actually happen should they not pass these pointless emails around to their contacts.

I think we should all join as one and fight this disease together. Because that is what it is...a disease. It is sent to you and maybe 10 others and they send it to 10 or so more and then so on and so on and so on....Continuously making its way into almost every single persons email inbox in the world. Then, guess what? It goes all the way around again.

How do I know? Because I've seen the same one in my inbox every few months and it keeps getting sent back to me. I recognize the evil, manipulating content contained within. It's neverending...Not sure we'll ever be able to rid ourselves of them.

Okay, I'm not going to say I'm blameless. I'm guilty of sending these things on too. I admit it. I feel ashamed but at least it's out and I am no longer in denial. That is the first step to recovery. Admitting you have a problem. So, who else has this problem? Any other crazy nutjobs out there that truly believe they will get a phone call 10 minutes after forwarding an email to say they've just won some money or that a lost love will decide 2 minutes after you've sent that email on, that they can't live without you any longer....Forget that they haven't seen you in 10 years and that it's possible they might be a lost love for you but you might just be lost to them.

I feel a bit better now that I've gotten that off my chest. I'm healing. One step at a time is all it takes aye? So, that's my rant over. I'll be back with more soon. There is a particular TV station that I am quite annoyed with at moment and I'm going to let it be known soon. Stay tuned all and watch this space.

Interesting, very interesting...

Life on the street...

I have to admit, I love Coronation street! Right at this very minute I'm sitting here with my eyes glued to the telly to see when David is going to make his move and get his sister back for not letting him go to her wedding. It's a good thing I don't need to look at the keyboard to type.

Grrrr, that David is one bad apple. If he was my kid, he would've been kicked out ages ago. I guess you have to feel sorry for him though. He's got that grumpy old cowbag as a mother.

I'm making it sound like they are real people. I should clarify, I know that they are only characters but it's hard not to talk about them like they are real when I've been a dedicated viewer of Corrie for many years now and it's almost like they're a part of the family.

It would seem that there is nothing going on with the whole David storyline this episode. Bummer. Well, I'll have to wait and see if it's gonna happen Friday or I could cheat and check the spoiler for the show but that takes all the fun out of it.

Oh, the Bill is on now. Time to turn the channel...Ah Ha! Supernanny. Might pick up some good tips on how to keep the kids from driving me up the wall. I need her to come to my house. I wonder if we'd be one of the families she couldn't fix?

Oh my god, the kids on here make mine look like angels. The dad is a big bully too. Wow. Gonna be a good one. Better get off here now so I can focus better on this....

Birthday!!!

Today is my birthday. Unfortunately it's on a monday and I have to work but I did have a bit of a celebration on the weekend. Not much of one though. I was supposed to go out on Friday night with some friends but I ended up cancelling because I really just wanted to sleep...

Hmmm, that's a recurring topic with me I think. Sleep. Best thing since sliced bread. Is this because I am getting older or what? I used to be able to stay awake all night and it wouldn't phase me. Now, if I don't get to bed by 10pm, I'm completely shattered the next day.

This morning I woke up and I could feel my hip clicking. It's something I've noticed before but I think because today is my birthday and I'm another year older (well, not another year older, just another day older!) I'm noticing all these little things more.

Wrinkles. That's another thing I paid a bit more attention too because of my birthday. There seem to be tons more. I went out Saturday and got a whole new range of facial cleansers and creams just to fight them off! However, I'm not so sure it was money well spent. We'll soon see if I notice a difference or not.

I think that's all I'm going to say on this subject. I'm happy that it's nearly over with and hopefully I'll be able to get over this one a lot quicker than I did on my 30th. Hmmmm, maybe next year I'll get the day off so I can sleep right through it? Not a bad idea at all....

Vodka with Redbull....Who thought of this???

Okay, I haven't been out in a very long time. Mostly because I'm a mom now and I don't really have the time for it but also because the older I get, the worse my hangovers are. However, this weekend, I didn't suffer that badly and I was pleasantly surprised.

Friday night, a friend and I went out to a few pubs and clubs and couldn't decide what to drink. Since I was pretty tired and was nearly falling asleep at our table, she told me to have a vodka redbull. I had tried it before and was a bit hesitant to have it again because I made a huge fool of myself the night I tried it. I now think that was partly due to the fact that I was pretty shmammered even before I had the vodka redbull.

The both of us had quite a few of them Friday and that was mostly what we drank. I like redbull anyway. The flavour of it reminds me of a candy we used to get at halloween time in Canada. So it went down pretty nicely.

Anyway, a few jugs of the stuff and I'd had enough to drink. Which was a good thing since it was time to head home. I didn't feel too out of it really and I was no longer tired. At all. Not in the slightest. I was wide awake....not good at 2 in the morning...

After I got home, which was about 3, I could not sleep. My husband was snoring away beside me and I just laid there thinking about whether or not I should go down and clean the house or maybe go out to run a few miles. Being one of those non athletic sorts, I didn't much like the idea of running. As for cleaning the house, well, I didn't want to wake anyone.

By the afternoon of saturday, I was cursing whoever thought of the whole vodka with redbull drink. I was a complete zombie. My brain was awake and working but my body was tired. I was exhausted and I really feel sorry for insomniacs because that in't the nicest combination. Then I realized that I might be suffering with the whole insomnia thing but I wasn't really feeling my usual hungover self. I could actually get up and walk around and function. I didn't have that headache that feels like your head is in a vice. My tummy wasn't doing tumbles making me think I could hurl at any minute. So, really, I traded my hangover for insomnia...I suppose that's not too bad.

Saturday night, I slept like a log and today, I was still a bit tired but I had no signs at all of a hangover. I wouldn't drink it all the time but I'm thinking that if I do ever get the chance to go out again, that's what I'm gonna drink. I'll probably have to have a limit though. I love sleep and missing out on it makes me sad. Almost like sleeping through Christmas day.

Speaking of sleep, I think I'm going to go up to bed now. My husband is away this week so I get to have the entire bed to myself AND no snoring. It's great. I miss not having him there but sometimes it's nice being able to read without any background noises. Not just snoring either. Why is it that a man feels the need to cut one under the covers and then wave them so it wafts in your face?

Goodnight all. Or noone. I think I'm the only one that reads this? Might be a good thing if I am. Hehehe....drinking and gas...wonderful topics aye? Not the most exciting but hey, we all can't be exciting or everyone would be boring. Does that make sense? Oh well, time to go. This is way too long now.

Nite nite.

Breakfast...

I'm at work posting this. Getting back into it now but find myself really tired at the end of the day and in the morning, it's taking me a long time to wake up and really pay attention to things.

This morning, I rushed around the house trying to get the kids ready which is a near impossible task when we aren't on a deadline, but almost heart attack causing chaos when we are.

Both my boys insisted on fighting with each other over some silly Yu-Gi-Oh cards. My eldest is the owner of them and he doesn't appreciate his little brother getting his grubby mitts on them. So, of course, the fact that he can't have them, makes them all the more appealing to him.

At the breakfast table is when I get my peace. I block out everything and just eat my breakfast with my 2 lovely little angels (they are lovely when I'm not paying attention) and out of the corner of my eye, I noticed my little one had spilled a spoonful of his cocoa pops on the floor. I didn't think anything of it and just continued on with my daydreaming. After a few minutes, I realized that my son was no longer sitting with us at the table. Glancing to the floor beside me, lo and behold, I find my son, crawling around on the floor, eating his dropped cereal with his mouth. My guess would be that he was trying to be a cat since we have 2 at home. I did feel bad that he ate off the floor you know, but I have to say, I was pleased I didn't have to haul out the vacuum.

That's all that I want to post today. I'll be back with more soon.

My first post

Well, I am not too sure what to put on here other than some mindless ramblings about how my day has been or what my kids did this morning to make my hair go a bit greyer.

So, I'll leave my first post short and sweet and to the point.
